GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD: HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER!!

PSALM 106:1

Fall has arrived in California!! Gone are the 100-degree temperatures, thankful for the trees changing colors, cooler temperatures and the beautiful fall days.

November has arrived. It always reminds me to focus on what I need to be thankful for. I spent time in scripture a few days ago just looking up verses about being thankful. Did you know that in just a few chapters of Psalm we are told to “give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, and his love endures forever” 7 times! I decided that this blog was going to be about being thankful.

I am thankful that I had the opportunity to have a wonderful summer with family and friends. I was able along with my daughter Lori, and husband Mike, to share our favorite places in Rhode Island that meant so much to us as a family over the years. We had a great time sightseeing and special times at one of our favorite churches, Wickford Baptist Church.

I spent time in Georgia with my friend Sandi, who encouraged me in my pursuit of quilting. 3 quilts made!! Thankful for my long-time friendship with Sandi.

I also got to spend time with my brother David and his wife who I had not seen in several years. So I’m thankful for the time to catch up with our lives.

I am most thankful for the many ways God has and is blessing Grace English School. This has been a busy school year. We are thankful for a good generator at school to help make the classrooms a little bit better during the extreme heat in India.

Our children are learning so many new things. They are learning about computers, spending time in the library, lots of new science projects and of course learning new games like Volleyball. They continue to have opportunities to share with their parents and community about Jesus during the special events they put on such as Teachers Appreciation Day, Children’s Day and Foundation Day. I wish I could share all the videos I receive with them singing and sharing.

We are thankful that we received the final legal paperwork from the Indian Education Department, to be able to have grades kindergarten – 8th grade. Thankful for Sanu who put in many hours of work and miles on his car to get this accomplished.

I am Thankful for everyone who gives of their time and resources to the coffee bar Brewed, at First Baptist Church that supports the school. I am thankful for each of you come by on Sunday morning and donate to purchase a cup of coffee. Every cent goes to help the school.

I am thankful that it looks like the Lord is opening the door for me to return to India soon.

Thankful for each and everyone of 16 staff people at the school.

Thankful that the Lord has given me the opportunity to be a part of this ministry. Learning to Hope....Grace English School.

PRAYER REQUEST

For continued support for the school. Everything is costing more than last year.

Continued support for me, as I make plans to return to India and all the expenses that entails.

For our staff who work so hard to make Grace English school the very best school in the area.

For finances to finish the addition to Sanu’s house so we can have more people come to spend time at the school and understand the ministry better. We’re well on our way but need money to finish. Around $15-20,000.00 would give us two dorms, two bathrooms, a small kitchen and a gathering area.
