YES LORD!

But you, O LORD, are my shield around me: you are my glory,
the one who holds my head high.
Psalms 3:3
Has the first 6 months of your year been busy? Mine has. It has been full of surprises, some fun and exciting and some that cause sadness that leave me full of questions. But through it all, I have chosen everyday, to say YES to the Lord!
YES! To His calling on my life today.
YES! To trust Him even when I don’t understand it all.
YES! To the unknown today.
YES! To YOU LORD!
Each year our church, First Baptist Church of Lodi has a special offering at Christmas time called Advent Conspiracy. All the money collected is shared with various ministries around the world and locally. This year Grace English School was blessed to receive a portion of that offering.
GRACE ENGLISH STAFF CELEBRATING 19 YEARS!

We were able to set up a computer lab for our students, we bought 3 computers, a desk, and chairs. The children and staff are thrilled to start learning about how to use the computer and also how to use social media safely. We also had enough money to make sure we can keep up with the continuing maintenance and budget at the school.

Each week we praise God for those of you who continue to support the school through the coffee bar ministry in the FBC Lodi church lobby. We are so blessed as these donations provide about 20% of our yearly school budget. We are thrilled that Grace English School in Assam India continues to grow in reputation and abilities to serve our local community.
We now have 200 students, grades in kindergarten through 8th grade. We had our second class of 8th grade students graduate in March. WELL DONE STUDENTS!
Just a few days ago, on May 20, we celebrated Foundation Day! 19 years ago, we opened the doors of Grace English School for the first time. It has been an exciting 19 years of ups and downs but we continue to watch God do amazing things each year. I can’t wait to see what God has planned for the next 19 years.

In May I had the privilege of going to Legazpi, Philippines to share with Tim and Claire Marker in the ministry at BCCL Ministries. (Bicol Christian Center of Learning). I was blessed to see the many ways they reach out to the community to train future and present leaders in the Bible.

One of the ministries they have is to a group of medical students from India. I was so excited to spend time with these future Physicians and share our story of Grace English School, its ministry history, and current ministry. They cooked us an Indian dinner which included buttered chicken and all the yummy side dishes. There is nothing like studying God’s word, eating and playing games together to build a forever bond. I now have another family bond in the Philippines.
Another interesting part of the trip was being fairly close to an active volcano. The Mayon volcano decided to erupt while I was there, fortunately I was not close enough to be in danger, but close enough to see it each day as I looked out my window.

One of the highlights of my trip was going to a village about an hour from Legazpi to help hand out Samaritan Purse Christmas boxes to around 100 children. They also received a New Testament in their language. The look on the faces of the children was priceless! They could not believe everything in the box was theirs to keep. I will never fill another one of those boxes without remembering the faces of those children.

Please pray for all the students attending class at BCCL. For Tim and Claire as the plan and seek God’s direction for the future classes and their many outreach activities.
I also would like prayers for the three Indian Medical students, Vijay, Sneha and Shiva that I became close too. Yes, they call me mom:-). They finished their final exams while I was there and now move on to their internships. Pray they will come to accept Jesus and accept him as the One True God.
Prayers for our students and staff, at Grace English School, who will be attending classes during the extreme heat of India. Thank God, we have a generator to keep the fans going when the power goes out.
Please pray for wisdom and guidance as I am looking forward to what the Lord has in store for the remainder of this year. I am praying the door opens for me to go back to the school in the Fall.
Thank you all for your prayers and financial support. We could not do this ministry without each and every one of you.
Please pray for my personal support that unfortunately is falling short.
I pray that each of you has an amazing summer! Stay open to what God has for you this summer, you might be surprised where and what He does with your time.
