“But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. I praise God for what he has promised. I must trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me?”
Psalm 56: 3-4

I trust you all surviving this crazy summer of heat and storms we have been experiencing.
I want to give you a quick update on what I have been up to the last few months since my last newsletter in the spring.
I have just returned from Arizona, visiting my cousins, where the temperature was about 111 every day. Only to come home to Northern California to temperatures of 106. Thankfully today is beautiful and in the low 80s. I’m grateful for every day to spend with family and friends even when it’s so hot!
This has been a summer of changes. My daughter Lori and husband Mike retired and moved to Johnson City, Tennessee. They bought a house on Boone Lake. I can’t wait to see them and their new home in a few weeks.
My grandson Matthew and his wife Chelsea and daughter Mia have moved in with me, I am enjoying having them here with me. I get to stay in Lodi and continue to make this my home base.
A few weeks ago, I had to say goodbye to my best friend of 30 plus years, Bonnie Biddle. It was a shock and so unexpected! But I know she is with Jesus and loving every moment! Her friendship meant so much to me and I look forward to spending eternity with her and my many other friends and family that have gone before me.

Now I am getting ready to attend the Global Leadership Conference. I always enjoyed hearing from Leaders who I can learn from.
I will be busy traveling the next few months, visiting friends and family before I head back to India in Oct/Nov. Speaking of my return, I would covet your prayers. As most of you know I had some challenges with immigration when I came home in 2022. I am trusting God for protection and his promises. I continue to seek his will in my return. I feel very strongly that God is leading me to return so I bought my tickets. My friend Sandy is planning to come with me. She has applied for her visa, and we are trusting she will receive it soon. Pleases pray with Sandy and I as we continue to seek God in our planning. We want to be in his perfect will.

Things are going well at school. The temperatures there have been unusually hot this summer, which means we are often without electricity. We are thankful that with all your help were able to buy a generator! This addition allowed us to keep the fans going and the lights on, which is a night and day difference for the students and teachers.
In May we had a Foundation Day Celebration. In June we celebrated National Teachers Day, with the children putting on a special program for the teachers and parents. Grace English School has come so far in the past 17 years, from the bamboo structure we started with until today. With our classes going from kindergarten through 8th grade, and 200 students and a staff of 14. All this progress is due to YOU and YOUR amazing prayer and financial support. These children would not be benefiting from this wonderful educational opportunity if it were not for YOU! The Learning to Hope Board wants you to know how much you mean to us, the staff and the children of Grace English School!
In His Grip,
Carol
